MTN MMS Settings

To send and receive an MMS, you'll need an MMS-enabled cellphone.

Call *123*12# to download the MMS settings. When you receive the settings on your phone, you will be requested to save them. If your phone asks for a pin, enter 1234. Should your phone request you to save these settings as your default settings, press Yes. Once this is complete, switch your phone off and on again to activate MMS settings. Should you experience any problems setting up your phone, please call MTN Data Helpdesk on 1555 (free call from an MTN cell phone) or 0831555 from any other phone.

Installing MTN MMS Settings

Go to "settings"
Go to "general"
Go to "network"
Go to "cellular data network"

Under the MMS section enter the following information:

APN: internet
Username: mtnmms
Password: mtnmms
MMSC: http://mms.mtn.co.za/mms/wapenc
MMS Proxy: 196.011.240.241:8080
